5Pleasantly Surprised  Nov 06, 2009
I commented on Benson's previous comment on the 5 I have purchased. I use one and my two kids each have their own. We use them camping and hiking. Like all solar products you have to manage the recharging. We spend 5 weeks in Baja each year and these are perfect for tasks at night. When reading I'll take it off the bottle and stick it face up on my chest; works great. Plenty of light time when you remember to recharge it! No problems on ours or the two I gave as gifts. I'll be buying more for gifts this year.

3Lightcap 200 Battery issue  Oct 14, 2008
I have purchase this item after writing to the company with a few questions: How long does it take to charge? How long will the light last with a full charge? the answer was 8 hrs. to charge (bright sunlight), and 6-8 hrs. of light. I was very excited to receive the product in the mail, and charged it all day in the sun, but the light only lasted 1.5 hours. So, I wrote the company again asking about this issue, all they did was tell me to change out the rechargeable battery, keep in mind this was a brand new product (only been out for a few months) and I only had it for little over a week. Rechargeable battery cost about $2.5 each (it only takes 1 AAA), not too bad, but you can only buy re-chargeabes in packs of 4 in a reg. store. So, $24+shipping and $10 worth new batteries later...Well I am still testing amount of time it takes to do a full charge (I am using a meter to test the battery), and how long the light last after a full charge. Cool idea, but it fall short on expectation and customer support.
